Dainty

by Madame-S-Butterfly
Well, their hands aren’t quite so dainty,
Or their personalities’ demure.
They no longer wait for the next dance,
Or shy away from suitors.

And clothing is no longer restrictive.
They are far more than beautiful chattel,
Held and esteemed from afar.
Times have clearly changed,
But has the bandwagon stopped rolling?
