Character Rules
- Since this roleplay is based on a very well-described world, it is expected that characters and events keep to the boundaries set out by Tamora Pierce's books. We ask that you not introduce a lady knight during Kel's training years, invent a new country near Galla, or develop anything else that clashes with the information we have from the books.
- Your character must be your own original creation. You cannot copy from another source, be it a book, movie, or another player.
- Your character cannot be related to or known by, in any way, to a character from Tamora Pierce's books. You cannot play Alanna's long-lost sister, Daine's second cousin twice removed, or Anders of Mindelan's ex-best friend.
- During your six-month period as a newbie, you may only play two characters, one of which must be the one you were accepted with.
- One of your first two characters must be a Rogue or a character looking to join the Rogue.
- Your character may not share a name with another character, to spare everyone else the confusion.
- Immortal characters are banned from the roleplay. Shang, Yamani, wildmages, and powerful Gifted or Sighted mages require the consent of the Roleplay Heads before they can be put into play. Additionally, transfer characters--that is, characters that you played in a different game and wish to adapt to play in Steelsings--require the consent of the Roleplay Heads.
- The Roleplay Heads have the right to restrict the creation of characters of any certain type if there is suitable reason to do so.
- All characters must have a short profile (name, age, occupation, basica ppearance and personality) from the first time they are played. Characters must have a full profile within their first two months of play. This is not optional.
- Your first two characters may not enter into a romantic relationship with other characters for their first two months in play.
