Applicants/Hopefuls
A hopeful (also known as an applicant) is someone who has posted a profile on the RP Hopefuls forum and is being critiqued and voted on. Anyone can be a hopeful. You do this if you are making your very first character, or you are already a member and you want to play a restricted character.
Newbies
A newbie is a person who has been in the roleplay for less than six months. The real reason this is important is that, for your first six months, you may only have two characters. Other than that, your Newbie period is a time to learn about the roleplay and its members, and to be involved.
Members
A roleplay member is anyone who has been accepted into the roleplay, including newbies. Members can participate in the roleplay, have to follow the rules, and can apply to be mentors.
Mentors
The mentors are the regulators of the roleplay. Their job is a broad one: they grade and vote on applications, moderate the chat rooms, help out newbies who are having problems, report rule infractions, discuss changes to the site, and vote in new mentors. Although a newbie may ask to become a mentor, they must demonstrate significant maturity and RPing skill, as mentors are supposed to be examples to others. To become a mentor, you will need to apply on the stickied thread on the roleplay forum. They will then post a message for other mentors to see, and they'll vote on you. If their decision is 'no', you can always be reconsidered later -- but it's forbidden for any mentor to tell how any voting, whether for mentors or hopefuls, went.
In-Game/Profile Mentors
Mentors who deal only with either the hopefuls profiles and non-chat related issues, or only with supervising the chat and similar in play issues. They have the same status as other mentors.
Roleplay Head(s)
The roleplay heads are overseers of the roleplay, as well as acting as ordinary mentors. Their job is difficult to describe and varied, involving lots of work behind the scenes to keep the game running smoothly. They are appointed by Kelly, the site admin. Kelly and the heads have the last say in rule changes, mentor voting, or giving out punishments for breaking the rules.
